Oct. 26, 2015 – SpeedMob Hideout RIchmond, CA No sooner had the ink dried on the SpeedMob exclusive US distribution contract with NiTEK helmets when sponsored racer Jordi Torres won his first World Superbike Championship race in Qatar. Torres’ maiden WSBK win also hands NiTEK their first World Superbike victory – coincidence, we think not.

In a valiant ride from start to finish, Torres executed an epic race battling his way through the pack on his Aprilia RSV4 picking off familiar names like Leon Haslam, Chaz Davies, Tom Sykes, and overtaking new World Superbike Champion Jonathan Rea. As the race wore on and tire wear came into play, Torres continued his assault on the podium, and after one last desperate pass by Rea, Torres immediately struck back and quickly regained the lead while driving to the finish line to take first place in Race 1 at the Qatar season finale – earning him fifth place in the 2015 WSBK championship points standing.

Torres campaigned strongly throughout 2015, constantly improving his finishing positions and honing his race-craft. The NiTEK brand saw the podium often in 2015 but had to wait for this final championship round to grace the top of the winners box on the podium.
