Joe Collier Cadwell Park www.facebook.com/JoeCollierRacing   Joe Collier, racing on the Haribo Starmix Triumph, had difficult weekend at round eight of the Motorpoint British Supersport Evo Championship. He worked hard in the opening race to secure third place and was unfortunate to crash out of third place. Joe had a really tough day on Friday and had a crash in both practice sessions. With his confidence dented he struggled during qualifying and ended up starting from 20th place on the grid for race one, his lowest race start all season. However, he was determined to make amends in the first race and worked hard from a low grid position to fight his way through to a podium finish in third place. In race two Joe started from 16th place on the grid for the 16-lap race and was fourth Evo rider after the opening lap. He was locked in a battle throughout the race and was fighting for another podium place. He made a couple of mistakes throughout the race which kept costing him time and positions but he got up to third but was unfortunate to crash out on the penultimate lap. Joe Collier – “I’m so disheartened after this weekend as the season has been going so well and now I have had three crashes in one weekend! I’ve not crashed since the Snetterton test so I’m really hoping that is my year’s allocation as it was really difficult. I can only put it down to me and I made mistakes which caused me to crash. Cadwell is a circuit where if you try too hard you go slower. I just have to take it on the chin, thankfully I’m not injured and just really sorry to my team for all the work I caused. I want to move away from here, take the positives that I can and move to Oulton Park and get back to where I was before, winning races.
