The Snowbird FTW Stop

After three events in Italy, France and Austria the Freeride World Tour’s next event will be at Snowbird, Utah, the only stop on U.S. soil. As many of us know, Snowbird is known for it’s amazing terrain and world-class snow. Snowbird has also been a pivotal location for the inception and progression of big mountain freeriding. Many SCOTT athletes will be the ones to watch at the next event just miles from SCOTT USA Headquarters. These athletes are Lorraine Huber currently in second place, Jackie Paaso in fourth, and Loic Collomb-Patton leading the pack and considered the man to beat.

Current FWT Leader on SCOTT Outwear

SCOTT Sports is proud to announce that the current FWT 2014 leader and new SCOTT team rider- Loic Collomb-Patton now also rides on SCOTT outerwear: Ridge Jacket and Pant.
Loic has won the first two stops of the Freeride World Tour 2014 in Courmayeur (ITA) and Chamonix (FR) so far. Looking forward to seeing him at Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort this weekend. To learn more about Loic visit his athlete profile here.

Ski Magazine’s 2014 Gear Guide- No B.S. Gear Reviews. Tested. Rated. Recommended.

SCOTT has several featured items in the Ski Magazine 2014 Gear Guide. Take a look at what boots, skis, goggles and outerwear made the cut.
“SCOTT Sports celebrates its Sun Valley roots, which are even deeper than Bobbie Burn’s, with a revival of Burns’s The Ski. The construction is up-to-date- no sagebrush core reinforcement, as in the original- but the retro graphic is faithfully reproduced. The Ski is a frontside generalist in four lengths and colors.”
“SCOTT acquired Garmont, including a couple of tester-fave alpine boots, The G1 and G2 110 (shown) and a variety of proven AT options, including the men’s Delirium and women’s Asylum.” Check out more of the SCOTT boots.
The SCOTT G1 130 Men’s Ski Boot featured in the Narrow Fit Boot category
“You want the combination of warmth, comfort and style.” Coming in at #5 the SCOTT Longsta Claw
“Goggles are your windows to the world, with a huge variety of options. Do you want an all-purpose lens, a quick-change system or a lens that changes with the light?” Check out the SCOTT LCG in at #5.
The Men’s SCOTT Ridge was featured in the Men’s Non-Insulated Category. “Equally comfortable out-of-bounds and on the front side, the Ridge rocks a laid-back look that belies its functionality.”
The Men’s SCOTT Komati was featured in the Men’s Mid-layers Category. “Perhaps the ultimate in pack-and-go layering, the Komati pullover is a PrimaLoft piece that’s nearly as light as air.”
The SCOTT Men’s Ridge pant was featured in the Men’s Pants Category. “The Ridge’s zip-off bib makes these double-duty ski pant even more useful.”
