DAYTONA BEACH, FL (November 22, 2019) – With the breaking news of the Harley-Davidson XG750R becoming available to more American Flat Track competitors in the AFT Production Twins class for the 2020 Championship Season, Vance & Hines
is also excited to announce an expansion of its contingency programs to
include over $35,000 for racers in AFT Production Twins.
“Without
a doubt, some of the closest racing in 2019 took place in Production
Twins,” said Vance & Hines co-founder, Terry Vance. “It was truly a
thrill to see the production-based Harley-Davidson XG750R take its first
victory at the Sacramento Mile with Dalton Gauthier, who then backed up
that win the following weekend at the Springfield Mile I.”
Developed
in partnership with aftermarket and racing powerhouse Vance &
Hines, the Harley-Davidson XG750R features a custom-built Vance &
Hines racing exhaust system. Competitors on the XG750R as well as other
makes who use a Vance & Hines racing exhaust in the AFT Production
Twins class will be eligible for both race and championship contingency
bonuses.
Competitors
will be required to have Vance & Hines decals displayed on their
motorcycle as well as a Vance & Hines patch on their leathers to
qualify for contingency payouts. Decals and patches will be provided
through Vance & Hines and through AFT Tech Inspection.
Vance
& Hines has posted a $5,000 year-end award for any eligible rider
who wins the AFT Production Twins championship using a Vance & Hines
exhaust system throughout the season. In addition, at each round,
contingency payments will be awarded to AFT Production Twins riders
finishing in the top five using a Vance & Hines exhaust system,
based on the following schedule:

today a multi-year renewal of its broadcast partnership engineered to
grow the audience of America’s Original Extreme Sport for 2020. The
agreement includes two race day telecasts and the remaining events to be
aired within one week. All events will be featured in one-hour
telecasts with race coverage of AFT Singles, AFT Production Twins and
flag-to-flag race coverage of the revamped AFT SuperTwins class.
For
the first time in the history of the sport, two of AFT’s most-acclaimed

AFT Production Twins class. For the first time ever, authorized
Harley-Davidson dealerships will now have the race-proven XG750R
available for purchase, ensuring that more competitors will field these
race-winning machines during the 2020 American Flat Track season. To
support the racing efforts of Harley-Davidson-mounted riders in the
class, the Milwaukee-based marque has also posted a $250,000 contingency
package.

– American Flat Track has announced its 18-event schedule for the 2020
season, which once again features coast-to-coast action and launches
anew at legendary Daytona International Speedway on March 14 with a Saturday of Speed: an epic season opener DAYTONA 200 & DAYTONA TT Doubleheader. It all finishes next fall with the Meadowlands Mile* finale at the most spectacular venue of the season: Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment in East Rutherford, N.J.
There
are two fan favorite events returning to the schedule and one event
revamped for a thrilling new experience. The returning venues is the
Half-Mile at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Charlotte, N.C. and the famed
OKC Mile.
Additionally,
the fastest Mile in the world – the Springfield Mile – will run
back-to-back as a doubleheader, making for a Labor Day weekend event
unlike any other.

3/8-mile oval of Georgia red clay has hosted the second round of AFT’s

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (November 4, 2019) – Rookies of ’79 and Friends – the Official Charity of American Flat Track – announced today another fundraising effort to aid injured riders and their families. Due to the extreme generosity of Indian Motorcycle, the Rookies of ’79 and Friends will be raffling off a 2019 FTR 1200 at the conclusion of AFT’s 2020 season.
Rookies
of ’79 and Friends is a fan-based, non-profit charity created for the
riders by the riders that strives to make an immediate impact on
people’s lives and prevent racers from being forced to quit the flat
track racing due to injury. Since its inception in 2009, Rookies of ’79
and Friends has raised over $1,000,000 which has allowed the group to
help more than 100 injured riders.
Tickets
for the FTR 1200 raffle will be available for sale at each of AFT’s
events in 2020 and can also be purchased at the Rookies of ’79 website: www.rookies79.com.
There
is a $25 entry for each raffle ticket, and participants may purchase
five tickets for $100. Participants may purchase as many entries as they
would like and all proceeds go directly to aiding injured riders.
The
winning ticket will be drawn live at the AFT finale in 2020;
participants do not have to be present to win. Additional details about
